To celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, Thrustmaster has launched the TS-PC RACER Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition. The combination of the TS-PC RACER base, integrated with Thrustmaster’s advanced technology, and the design resembling the Ferrari 488 Challenge steering wheel (licensed by Ferrari) creates an extremely realistic racing experience.
The TS-PC RACER is a top-tier racing simulation wheel created by Thrustmaster for PC racers. It faithfully reproduces the car’s responses and external factors during the racing process. Equipped with powerful technologies designed to enhance gaming performance and deliver the closest possible real-world racing experience, it makes you feel completely immersed in the competition.
Steering Wheel Design
- The steering wheel is a replica at a scale of 9:10 (diameter 12.6″/32 cm) compared to the steering wheel of the Ferrari 488 Challenge.
- Officially licensed by Ferrari, it features a total of 25 programmable functions. The faceplate and 2 gear shift paddles are crafted from black anodized metal.
- 15 integrated LED lights are for the RPM (speed) function.
- There are 2 directional pads (D-pads) with push-button functionality.
- Additionally, it includes 2 rotary encoders with push functions and 8 other action buttons.
- Designed with hand-stitched seams using Alcantara material imported from Italy, similar to the material used on the original steering wheel by Ferrari
Brushless Servomotor Technology (40 watts)
To provide high performance, precision, and comfort for PC gamers with demanding requirements, Thrustmaster has developed the TS-PC servo base.
The second-generation Brushless motor ensures over 50% higher dynamics and 4 times greater stopping force than the previous generation. It provides torque over 1.6 times higher than the torque from TX or T300 RS.
Dynamic torque
The 40-watt motor is highly responsive, creating a particularly dynamic and powerful effect. The motor of the TS-PC RACER provides powerful Brushless force feedback of 40 watts and astonishing operating speed (dynamic torque) activated from STALL mode to Dynamic mode.
The immersion cooling system for the motor
Sustain momentum with the new motor by ensuring it does not overheat. Providing over 50% higher dynamic force and 4 times greater braking force than TX and T300 RS, coupled with the ability to dissipate heat through single-phase cooling.
H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) + FOC
This is a new technology that most electronic devices are looking to incorporate into their products. Thrustmaster is one of the leading manufacturers in this technology with their previous products. With the TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488, the H.E.A.R.T technology is integrated, providing 16-bit resolution (65,536 values).
Combined with H.E.A.R.T is a new FOC algorithm that automatically optimizes high-torque response capability. The motor reacts flexibly and quickly, while also converting and reducing power loss phenomena.
Turbo Power
The Turbo power supply unit from external sources provides stable power and high maximum output to instantly meet the demanding conditions in fast-paced gaming. The fan-shaped design helps optimize heat resistance performance up to 86%. Maximum power output: 400 watts.
Compatible with various Thrustmaster accessories
Compatible on PC with various Thrustmaster accessories. The steering wheel can be detached and compatible with other Thrustmaster devices such as: Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On, TM Open Wheel, Rally Wheel Add-On Sparco R383 Mod, TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On.
